On May 7th, after a first organizational meeting, the TB began a series of visits to agro-food companies in the Valencian Community.
During the 4 weeks of stay, a total of 10 companies and a research center were visited and in some cases it was possible to develop plans of action with them. The companies visited reflect the complexity of the agri-food sector, including the aquaculture and fish production sector, oils, horticulture, nuts, pastries, bakery, jams and beverages.
In addition, in FEDACOVA on May 17 an event was organized to present the TB to some other companies (Embutidos Flor de Villahermosa, SL Group Huevos Guillen and Hermanos Vázquez, SL) leading companies as far as the poultry sector is concerned, the meat and horticultural sector. The TBs have explained to the attending companies their main lines of research as well as the possibility of working with the company interested in those specific needs that it demands. This event has been fundamental to underline the importance of the project as well as starting point to plan future visits and possible collaborations between these companies and the Universities.
After a month of meetings and visits, the TB will soon return to their respective universities to develop technological proposals adapted to the needs of each of the companies for the development of future R & D projects.
